Anyone here have experience TIG welding brass? I know silicon bronze is the go-to filler, but I'm curious if there are other options people use, especially when color matching really matters. This project needs the welds to blend in more than stand out.
Also, any tips for running brass on TIG would be appreciated. I've heard about zinc fumes being nasty, and that the heat control is touchier than on bronze or copper. Would like to hear what's worked for others before I waste rod and plate figuring it out the hard way.
