new to mig need some advice

just got my 1st mig. a draper135 amp turbo and really enjoying it so far. we tried welding aluminum but somehow my cousin managed to get the wire stuck in the liner. not sure what the best way is to fix that without making things worse. ive also been looking into gas bottles and thinkll need an argon mix with around 7% co2 for thin steel and stainless steel. rental prices seem pretty steep though. has anyone found a good budget friendly option for bottles or dealt with a stuck wire like this before ?

Don't worry about the stuck wire, I experienced that too.
Just take off the tip first, if this doesn't work just pull out the liner! For the bottles, i suggest you look where you can swap or refill your gas bottles if possible. that will definitely make you save some cash!

I second @beneficialmusic22 it's exactly how I'll go about it. But for the gas bottle, you can try buy smaller bottlers or exchange tanks. No need to rent I guess it's better for the long run! I don't recommend rentals too because if something happens, it's on you.

Thanks so much that helps clear things up! When you pull the liner is it best to replace it after a jam like this or can it be reused if it looks okay?

Also for bottles do local weld supply shops usually do exchanges or is it more of a regional thing?
