ive been wanting to upgrade from my hobard handler 140 for a while and found a milermatic 252 for 2k and i think i can cut a few bucks off that and the best part is that it looks like it wasn't used much. has anyone here used it and will it be a good upgrade over my handler?

heard from a few guys that its likely one of the most difficult one to handle and is ranked the least by most. Too many complaints too basically

well.....I don't know man, I think its a pretty good upgrade, can handle long term use and has more power, up to 250amps

@theark well, theMillermatic 252 generally got positive reviews. My friend has one of these, he like its power, versatility, and ease of use. I tried it before, I think it's a good choice for both professional and hobbyist welders

The Millermatic 252 is definitely a nice step up from the Hobart Handler 140.It has more power,a better duty cycle, and is great for working with thicker metals. If you find one that's barely used and at a decent price,I'd say go for it.Just remembre,it's larger and heavier than the Hobart

That's a fantastic find. Moving from a Hobart Handler 140 to a Millermatic 252 is a huge step up, and getting one that's barely used for $2,000 is a great deal. Yes, this will be an excellent upgrade for you! Do it!
