My brother gave me a half mask respirator from his construction job. It feels like a solid mask and fits well. I've been wearing it while practicing stick and MIG welding in my garage, but I'm not sure which filter is safest for welding fumes. I see some people online use pancake filters since they fit under the hood better. Are those good enough for welding smoke, or should I look for something else? I just want to make sure I'm staying safe while I learn.
