I've been gathering tips and advices, been looking at using the 7016s but people would usually tell me the 7018s are better. Though based on my very own research, they're pretty similar. Any thoughts?

They are indeed very similar except the 7018s got smoother arc and easier slag removal. Oh and before I forget, keep it dry. 7016 is my reco if you're working for vertical welds.

Both are good actually, but 7018s are easier to work with for general stuff and give smoother welds. 7016s are great too, especially for low hydrogen, but if you're comfortable with 7016s, stick with them. It's all about what feels best for you basically
