Quick note on electrode storage

Have a little something to share with the community, One thing that doesn’t really get talked about enough is how much electrode condition affects stick welding, especially with low hydrogen rods. If your 7018s have been sitting open in a humid shop, you might notice the arc feels inconsistent or you start seeing porosity even though your technique hasn’t changed and that’s usually moisture in the flux.
Always keep rods sealed until use or store them in a simple rod oven or heated box if they’re already opened
