HELP identify arc welder

I visited my uncle a few days back and saw a good old arc welder in his workshop. He said he's had it since the 70s, maybe even earlier.

I forgot to take photos but I remember reading the labels AC carbon arc torch, 250 amp. I think I also saw a serial number on the back starting with W419, the rest I couldn't read due to corrosion. That's about all I remember.

Maybe someone can help identify what arc welder it is? I'm thinking of using it for a little project.

Sounds like an old-school stick welder, probably a carbon arc torch model from the 70s because from the litle I think I know, 250 amp rating is typical for industrial welders of that era. The serial number starting with W419 could point to a specific manufacturer, but hard to say for sure without more info. If it's still in working condition, it could definitely handle some small projects
